This short comic was created for the anthology Celebrating Trans Joy. Building Communities, a zine published by the Virginia American Civil Liberties Union, telling the personal stories of thirteen trans and nonbinary Virginians. My comic, “Finding Youphoria,” is about Kitt Spata. Kitt gave me the details of the story they wanted to tell, and I used that to develop the script and the art! Kitt’s a gender and nuerodivergent-friendly hairstylist based in Richmond, VA and the founder Youphoria Studios (where this comic gets its name!).
In addition to creating this comic, I also did the book design for the zine, including the front and back cover.
